MD AAMMAR ZAKI

Md Aammar Zaki hails from the vibrant city of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) where he was born and raised. He embarked on his legal journey by attaining a 5-year B.A., LL.B degree from the esteemed University of Calcutta in 2009. Further enriching his legal acumen, he pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the distinguished National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad. His legal career began upon enrolment as an advocate at the Bar Council of West Bengal in January 2010. Under the esteemed mentorship of the then Additional Solicitor General of India, he cultivated a comprehensive understanding of legal nuances and advocacy. Over the years, Md Aammar Zaki has garnered commendable success in diverse legal spheres, particularly excelling in criminal, writ, and family law matters. His affiliation with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation as an empaneled lawyer underscores his adeptness in navigating complex legalities, consistently representing them both in the Original Side and Appellate side of the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta. Notably, he has served as the Advocate for the State of West Bengal in numerous criminal cases before the esteemed High Court. As a seasoned Criminal Defence Lawyer, Md Aammar Zaki has adeptly handled numerous hearings in District and Magistrate Courts, skillfully representing clients, including high-profile cases. His expertise and dedication have yielded favorable outcomes in various legal proceedings. Recognized for his legal prowess, he has been selected by the Calcutta High Court Bar Association as a member of the association’s library sub-committee, collaborating with other esteemed legal luminaries. Beyond legal practice, Md Aammar Zaki has actively contributed to legal academia, participating as a guest speaker in seminars, workshops, and conferences across renowned law colleges. Additionally, his role as a Guest Lecturer at Surendranath Law College, Calcutta, underscores his commitment to imparting legal education. Committed to societal welfare, he serves as a Board Member of Tiljala SHED, focusing on the holistic development of marginalized communities, and acts as Legal Advisor for Parichay Ek Pehchaan, contributing meaningfully to various social causes.
